Hospital Bag Essentials

I was making this list for a friend. So I figured that I would share.

Hospital Bag List:

Health Insurance card
Drivers liscence

Comfy PJS loose fitting. Or Nightgown. Or Gownie
Robe
Socks
Slippers
Nursing Bra
Outfit to go home wearing for yourself
*Your clothes may vary depending on C-section and/or breastfeeding.

Baby’s outfit to go home/pictures.
Hat
Blanket ( light & heavy)
Baby booties
Baby book. (they can do footprints if you ask them early enough & you can write your first entries)
Pacifier
Boppy
Infant car seat carrier
*My hospital provided baby shirts & blankets, diapers, ointment etc.

Some people say to bring toilet paper. (my room had it)
Toothbrush & toothpaste
Sucking candy & snacks
Brush & hair bands
Soap
Lip gloss

Camera
Cel phone
Things to keep you occupied…Magazines, Book, Sodoku etc.

Tonights Dinner

Penne alla Vodka
My lil brother's fav

Ingredients:
Pasta. I like smaller penne because it does not absorb too much sauce.
Jar of sauce (homemade or store bought). I like victoria marinara.
Heavy cream.
Vodka
Garlic (i use fresh sliced. Jar minced and some powder). You can even use roasted garlic.
Basil.
Parsley
Evoo
Grated cheese
Onions optional. (small slices)


Heat evoo in sautee pan or fry pan. Add garlics and onion.
Simmer until they start to look clear.
Add vodka. (2 pours).
Vodka is also optional.
Simmer & stir.


Add jar of sauce stir. Wait about 4 min.
Add heavy cream and stir. Depending how pink you like it... You can add lil bu lil. Let simmer another 4 min.
Add grated cheese to your liking.

Add your cooked pasta to pan with sauce. Stir it in. Let cook another 4 min.


It marries the sauce to the pasta. I like all my pasta like that.

Its really quick and easy.

Cute Comment of the Day

My 1st grade student got a haircut. She chopped a lot off. She said that she cut soo much. So I asked "did you cry?". Thinking of course of myself when I cut a lot off. She said "no, it didnt hurt.".

So cute!! Of course I am the baby that usedto cry if too much hair was cut off.
